This has high potential to be a great game! The elements of the game that are left to chance (which will more times than not, not go in your favor), the opp can easily beat you if they have more strength (even if every other fight factor is way above theirs), not having much to do between fights and not having better shop/shopping mechanics truly kneecaps the game. Hopefully the creator(s) update the game soon and address these issues. Would be 5 stars otherwise. Ps the wiki page is trash

Another good Kairosoft game. While very entertaining, it has a few areas of irritation. Characters only get a max of 10 years so if you have a favorite boxer, his career is over at that point, and you have to start over again with a new one. Items can be very limited and adds a new level of frustration when you are trying to develop skills faster. There needs to be a way to choose from a list of coaches in the beginning instead of being stuck with one default coach. Otherwise another good game!

I started playing, and I thought it was cool. Now I've done a new game+ 8 times. Fyi, items carry over, max items (besides age and special) stay on boxers permanently increasing their max stats, and trainers keep their stats. Use items frequently on masked trainer to ensure new runs go smooth. ALWAYS restart as soon as you're on Y11 M4 as if you don't you can bug future runs, they will wrap up everything then for a final score. Amazing game, 8/10 Edit: Look up the wiki. It's helpful. ^_^

have played many many many of their games, and so far, besides "Oh!Edo" this has been my top favorite, keep coming back to work my stats, etc etc....very fun. highly recommended. as of writing this, I still only touched the tip of the ice urg as far as the game games...plan on going the distance without and plans to stop. good job!👍🏼

Ok, first, I do not like that you get stuck with a trainer in the opening of the game that costs $63,000+ a week. Baaad. Another is all upgrades are set so high to make it feel like an online pvp game. Also, no matter what boxer you choose, they announce retirement just the 2nd yr. or two in the game. At this point if trained strategically enough is just getting good. Kairosoft, you make good games... potentially, however, most fall short in these matters. This one 2/5.

Very slow and tedious, may be one of their worst games ever and they increased the cost by almost $3.00 Very little to do between fights, cannot customize your boxers, new game plus is literally worthless. Also, is there a reason the developers are still locking fast forward behind beating the game the first time, besides people realizing there's so little of an actual game here? If this is what I can expect from them in the future, they'll never get another dime out of me.

Boxing Gym Story is an exceptional tycoon strat based stat heavy side scroller with unique playthroughs and is filled with diverse ways to play and replay the exciting experience with different ways the player gets to unravel their boxing career. From fly weight to heavy, this game is fun, engaging, intuitive, attractive, and addicting! Even though it's the same concept every playthrough, you can always improve your career from the beginning in Boxing Gym Story.

Fun little game that kills time. Little tough to get training but it takes practice.

I honestly enjoyed the game but I found it to be very lacking compared to Kairosoft's previous games. You can play a whole game of 10 years in a couple hours and then there's really no point in continuing with the new game+ feature. All it does is carry over items. Sure it makes it easier to a degree but it doesn't change the experience at all. The same tedious wait in between matches, the same preset boxers, and it takes forever to unlock stuff. Really needs more content added. 3/5

Ryan

Fun little time waster, only reason it's a 4 instead of 5 star is because of the fairly RNG aspect of how matches might go and the other chance based stuff which is most of the aspects.

Great game, very enjoyable first play through but as others said, there is room for improvement. Maybe a speed-up button once you reach new game+ so that waiting for the weeks to go by goes quicker. Another training session which focuses on Health? Very difficult to build that up without using items and doing so is tediously painful Trainer specific items would be good aswell I like the idea that maybe you could implement a "a fighter has called you out/challenged you" for your title

This game has so much potential. I ended up playing through it twice and am into new game plus, so they are doing lots right. But it is a game of resource management where nothing is explained and wrong investments cost you dearly. If you want to beat the true last boss you will have to outsmart the poor management system rather than follow a path to success. It can be super fun but also very tedious. Wish they would have made it alittle more straight forward, but still enjoyed myself.

This gane is pretty good, I've played for a few days now and so far it's pretty solid. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that boxers start at 20 and retire at 24. Alot of people start younger and go until mid late 30's and some longer than that. Also I'd like to be able to not have to change weightclasses and just defend titles there but that might be a giant ask. Personally I'd say hold onto your 7 bucks until there's more features or a sale.

Nemeca

amazing game 100/10. wish it has more levels and was more "infinite" I love the boxing part and building more types of boxers.

David Toro

Great game. Ended on year 25. Had fun unlocking Kangaroo and Kairobot as boxers. Once they retired, I didn't feel the need to go on. Wish the developers would add some sort of "extra fast" mode where the player could choose to skip waiting between matches. 4/5 stars. Maybe I'll play again in the future.

These games are always fun! Perfect for any down time and don't require wifi or data!

One of the worst kairosoft games, you hit a wall your second year in, constantly fail to learn a new skill even though you have an 80% chance to. You have one fighter for half the game while you're constantly unlocking new ones you can't use. And the only stat that matters in a fight in punch, if you have higher punch you will win Everytime

adam

Much like every other kairosoft game, simple, fun, pretty aductive (and kills time). main issue / bug / annoyance is when you use items that claim to boost stats then they repeatedly have no effect even when stats are not at max, i've even used the +1 year for retirement and that failed and the boxer then retured lol

Josh

Good except.. the CPU or opponent, no matter what, ALWAYS has more HP than your fighter and by a considerable amount. Making the fight completely unbalanced as you'll always need significantly higher stats in everything else just to have a hope of winning. Give our boxers more HP or the ability to earn it, and balance out the stats more. Otherwise it's a good game.

Just bought this game 2 days ago. Highly entertained. My tips, focus only on one boxer at a time especially on your first game.. build horizontally the gym cos you are only building up one boxer.. hoad all your items once your boxer reached it's category champion level.. so that when you start a new game+, you bring those items forward. Especially those that increase your skillsets max . Those can't be bought from the store
