It's fun until you hit the brick wall of progression and can't get any better without spending tons of cash. Also, there are now cheaters. I watched a player just change their score to eagle. Not to mention, those that have spent money can outdrive you by 100 yards, no joke. So there really is no competition as a free player once you reach gold rank. A shame, because otherwise the core game is quite enjoyable. It's a fun time waster if you're just looking to play some golf, but sadly a bad mmo
I deleted my previous 5 star review after spending some more time with the game. The game itself is very fun, the matchmaking is pretty fair. However, if you like to participate in events, but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on loot boxes, tough luck. The first event, last round is quite impossible without very upgraded equipment, and that sudden difficulty spike prevents you from completing the set of equipment offered by the event. Predatory.
A fun, relaxing game that's simple and can be enjoyed by everyone. Babies could beat me at golf, but I can play this game easily. I played this on my Samsung S9, loved it and only deleted it because another game took up too much room. I just wish there were more characters. But the four characters we can choose from do have costumes available for drawing and purchase, so at least they can be dressed up a little. Even if you're entirely an F2P player.
The concept and gameplay are a throwback to Pangya. Those who loved that game will likely love this too. I have positive feedback for the actual game itself. Really nice golf system, and fantastic art style. I give the actual Golf part of the game a 4. However, it has a super heavy gacha-based progression. You won't get far, unless you'll play this game like a job for the next 2 years, or pay absurd money for Gacha that has TERRIBLE rates. Really wish someone made a decent Pangya game again.
Good game, but makes the worst mistake a free to play game can do. Cash shop is waaaay to expensive. Costumes (one of the main draws of the game) should be like 3 dollars tops not 26! It's too hard to acquire actual costumes outside of paying cash. You rarely get actual outfits. Most of the time is ugly accessories. Gameplay is similar to Hotshots Gold. I participated in the beta and back then the system was much more fair. It's clearly they care more about cash then player base.
This game is super fun and doesn't use any type of stamina system that I've noticed. I do wish we could manually swap clubs. There have been times I am only 3yd away but forced to use a wedge because I'm on the fringe. My only other complaint is that my shots seem to randomly lose power and only go half the distance, even on nice/perfect shots.
I'll start by saying this game isn't perfect, but it's amazing and captivating. The art style and the way it plays feels refreshing. The currency is expensive, but the rewards are generous and you can get get any item with effort. The matches run just the right amount of time, and there's a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer. This feels like a console game similar to HotShots, but I like this better. Please give this more support again. I can feel the Love Com2uS put into this game.
What a refreshing change of pace. An easy to learn, challenging to master golf game. Oh sure...ya got yer gacha elements. But they are very generous with the resources and if you are halfway decent at the game...yer gonna be fine. I've gotten 3 epic pieces, aint spent a dime. They got fun designs, clean animations, and the physics seem to hold up pretty darn well. All the lil extra modes n things are fun. And the matches are snappy. You can get through a match in a couple minutes.
I have been enjoying this game a lot, it is very fun and entertaining. The whole concept of the game from the characters to the gameplay and tournaments. Some of the challenges are very hard to complete early on. In order to get the prizes you must complete some of the challeneges but they seem almost impossible to complete within the time limit. Yet they are pretty okay challenges once you get the hang of the controls. Overall this game is pretty great amd would recommend !
I gave this 3 stars because the game play is fluid, fun, and the characters are well done. The problem is: while this is a standard gacha game, it is just that. Nothing sets this apart from other gacha games. They are after your money. Customization is the funnest aspect of a game as it sets you apart from everyone else. But without spending some hefty money, it will take weeks or even months to get one costume. No thanks. Uninstalled.
This has been one of my favs since it became available on Android...but for 3 days now I haven't been able to log in to my account, with the same error code as everyone else. You guys are usually the most consistent devs on mobile, usually! I love most of your titles and am not afraid to drop large amounts of cash when it's worth it. If this problem persists, I will have to uninstall, and would have wasted $100's on this game alone. #frustatedFan
If you've ever enjoyed playing Hot Shots Golf/ Everybody's Golf, this will be right up your alley. While the play mechanics are fairly simple, the customization is pretty overwhelming and takes some time to adjust to. Leaderboard events are plentiful and satisfying. My only gripeso far is the mildly annoying in game pop ups for payed content. I also don't get the absurdly overpriced packs. $99 for a golf game is a head scratcher. Offer more low tiered pay packs for the poor please.
great graphics. solid golf physics (when they work.) multi-player is horribly unbalanced. you're either matched against big spenders you can't beat, or if you are winning, the game will freeze or the server will kick you out. wouldn't want you to actually succeed or anything. half the time the game has more bugs than Nebraska in August. maybe if you fix these issues, I'll spend money.
I've been a casual enjoyer of this game for over a year. Unfortunately, I'm unable to play the have anymore as it keeps crashing when I attempt to play. I've rebooted the device and re-installed with no luck. There isn't a specific point that it crashed except for after you are logged in and have started seeing menus.
15 Mar 21 Edit - changed to 4 stars. All disconnect errors seem to have been addressed. It's a good, fun game. However, random disconnects with strong wifi and LTE+ signals, and seemingly never ending maintenance make for a frustrating player experience. My other issue is that I was a beta tester two years ago and never got my promised rewards. I really hope this game becomes stable and reliable but until then, it's a solid 2.5 stars.
The game used to have a point/buy system for costumes. Now it's all gacha or $45 direct buy. Pharaohs challenge event is way too difficult for beginners. Recommends a 210yd drive with a -10yd stage penalty. Most beginners start with a drive of 160ish, so it's stupidly hard to finish a 400yd par4 hole with birdie because they'd have to chip-in instead of putt. The whole point of doing the challenge is to get the gear, which the challenge needs in order to complete it. Poor event planning
I really love the concept of the game and it has wonderful graphics and gameplay. However, this game is so heavily monetized that it won't be long until you face the "paywall" of impossible situations and frustrating goals. Golf gear is in a brutal gacha, items to power you up are sold, and even costumes are in a gacha. In fact, it feels like almost nothing is there to actually earn. Im beyond disappointed as I have waited for this game for a long time but greed has swallowed this potential gem
I took a two year break from this game. It's alright but still grind focused and heavily pay to win. The matchmaking is dead. All I face are people with too much money and time on their hands. Having 250 drive and constantly facing people with legendary 400+ drive clubs is annoying. This is not a matter of skill. It's a matter of paying and pulling for the best clubs and materials. The developers made their money. Good for them, but the player base is dwindling if it isn't already gone.
Overall, really fun game. A lot of different modes, and challenges. You can always play, there is no "energy" system although events and challenges have a limited amount of attempts. My main complaint is that the AI on auto play is infuriating. Your character will happily send the ball into the watter 10 times in a row and never consider a different shot. I suppose if you want it done right, do it yourself. The rate of obtaining new gear with gems needs work. But they hand them out
This reminds of eagle fantasy golf. Quite similar except for few things like aim, camera angle. My con is It's hard when combine both power and aim gauge together. EFG have separate gauge and skill set. I not trying to compare these two different games, It's just EFG have better game mechanics. Maybe its not what I was expected but this is a great game. ^^b
